Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

Costs to consider include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.

Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.

Payment of Accounts

The Office is where all payments are received for excursions, and contributions. Payments can be made during the hours of 8.30am and 3.15pm.

Money for school contributions or excursions  is collected by the Office before school, at recess and at lunchtime. Students should not carry large sums of money around. (See ‘Care of Valuables'). A closing date for payment of money for events is set, 48 hours prior to the event, unless specified earlier on the permission note. After this date, no further payments are received and students will not be able to attend the excursion. It is important that students develop responsibility for making sure that they have paid on time.

Arrangements can be made to ‘pay-off' monies, and there are usually payment plans developed for the major excursions. These payments need to be finalized 48 hours prior to the event.

Subject Contributions / Charges

So that we are able to adequately equip the school it is greatly appreciated if contributions at the start of the year. School invoices are mailed home twice each year.

General School Contributions

These contributions are used to purchase stationery, textbooks, equipment, etc.

Elective Subject Contributions

These contributions are required to pay for materials used in the course being studied. When students choose a subject to study from Years 9 – 12 there is often a fee attached. This may need to be paid before any practical work is done.

We cannot provide the best quality education for students without these contributions
